Milly and all the team at Saddlers wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year. May 2025 bring you much joy and happiness. Â
Thank you for your continued support and as we wrap up the year, weâd like to share some exciting news and updates on what's been going.
đ„Saddlers B&B wins SILVER for B&B Guest House of the year award - Beautiful South Tourism Awards 2024đ„
It is with great joy and pride to announce our recent success.
On Tuesday 10th December, Saddlers B&B won Silver award for B&B and Guest House of the year at the Beautiful South Awards for Excellence 2024, which took place at The Grand Hotel in Brighton.Â
Milly says, âI am so honoured firstly to have been nominated as a finalist and then awarded Silver as I hear the competition was very strong and a testament to the exceptionally high standards that were in the category. Saddlers were the only B&B in the category; the other 3 companies were Hever Castle and Gardens in Kent (winners who took Gold), a gorgeous inn along with a boutique hotel, all which were much larger than us. We can still compete against the big boys!âÂ
Â
"We may be small â but deliver big!â Considering Saddlers B&B is a small business which is solely ran by Milly and a small team, she is delighted to have been awarded silver and it is a reflection of the hard work, passion, attention to detail and energy she puts towards giving her guests the exceptionally high standards one would expect from a hotel experience, but keeping the home from home feel.
About the AwardsÂ
The Beautiful South Tourism Awards 2024 celebrate excellence within the tourism sector, and this yearâs panel of judges faced a challenging task as they reviewed an impressive array of exceptional entries with 75 finalists from the best tourism and hospitality businesses in South East England.Â

Thank you to all of our guests who purchased jams and honey from us this year.
In early December, we gave 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the jams to our nominated charity, The Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre, which are based in Sidlesham, 20 minutes drive from us.
A dear family friend called Robert from Bosham, has the most spectacular garden and as a result of his hard work, passion and energy, has a flouring garden bursting with flowers, fruit and vegetables. Robert makes all of our jams from his home and we serve his delicious selection at our breakfast and is a huge success with our guests. The selection of jams are; loganberry, blackberry, blackcurrant and raspberry.
Guests love the thought of being able to take something locally produced, organic and homemade back home with them and it reminds them of their fond memories of their stay at Saddlers.
The Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre is the chosen charity of Robert and Claudia (his wife). Robert and his wife Claudia are massive cat lovers and have 2 beautiful Siamese cats called Stanley & Percy.
Ian Hughes, The GM of The Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre says, âthank you Milly for your donation, your support will make a big impact in the care of our animalsâ.
We are a small charity competing against the great and good and we will direct the funds that have been raised, towards a specific fund. "Caellum's fund' was set up in memory of a young cat that was brought in after being hit by a car. He was in shocking state and needed specialist care. The fund provides for specialist care and vet fees that may be needed to treat injuries to kittens whom are either stray or feral. Our staff look after them in our dedicated âMum and Baby Unitâ at the centre. This can involve taking the youngest kittens home and hand feeding them every two hours. Our Animal Care staff nurture them, give them the intensive care and medication needed to get them healthy again.
We look after animals that other charities may not accept due to their age, chronic ailments and the associated expensive vet care. No animals are put to sleep; we find a place for them all! We have cat and rabbit cuddling volunteers that give our animals the love and human interaction that is so important in getting them ready for their forever homes. Some of our older cats have chronic conditions and are adopted under our foster care scheme that provides lifetime vet care for them.
But most importantly the care we provide "gives the living a chance at life."
We look forward to welcoming you back to Saddlers again in 2025. Â
đMerry Christmas and happy new year! đ
Best wishes
Milly Boxley
